Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KidsHost, a parent-to-parent playdate coordination service operated by Lumenix AI ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or messaging the KidsHost WhatsApp bot, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child or children you reference on the service.
- You must reside in or regularly access Richmond or Kingston, London, UK.
- Children may not register for, log in to, or otherwise use KidsHost. The service is for adult parents only.
2. The service
KidsHost helps you coordinate in-person playdates between your child and the children of other parents who are already part of your real-life circle (same school, club, or local playground). KidsHost is not a social network, not a dating service, not a childcare service, and does not employ or vet supervisors. We do not arrange or supervise the playdates themselves.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your child.
- Only invite or accept playdates with families you genuinely know in real life.
- Supervise your own child during any playdate arranged through KidsHost.
- Treat other parents respectfully. Harassment, abuse, discrimination, and unsolicited commercial messaging are prohibited.
- Comply with all applicable UK laws, including child protection laws.
4. Prohibited use
You may not use KidsHost to:
- Impersonate another person, parent, or organisation.
- Contact, message, or attempt to communicate with other parents' children directly.
- Collect, share, or republish any other parent's or child's personal data.
- Promote products or services, run a business, or recruit users to other platforms.
- Use the service for dating, romantic, or adult-content purposes.
- Attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
5. Opt-in and opt-out for messaging
You consent to receive WhatsApp messages from KidsHost when you submit your phone number on the website or message the KidsHost bot. You may stop messages at any time by replying STOP in WhatsApp. Stopping messages will pause your account; you can resume by replying START.
6. Account closure
You can request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@kidshost.co.uk or by replying DELETE ME in WhatsApp. We will permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days, retaining only the minimum required by law.
7. Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms, the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, applicable law, or if we reasonably believe your use puts other parents or children at risk.
8. Disclaimers
KidsHost is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific playdate match will occur. KidsHost does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the conduct of any other parent on the platform; you are responsible for assessing whether to arrange a playdate with another family.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumenix AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of KidsHost, or from any in-person interaction between you, other parents, or any child. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at /privacy/ describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified to active parents via WhatsApp message at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with the service.
